Living up to its’ annual reputation as one of Premier’s most popular events at sea, the January 28-February 1st 2008 K-LOVE Cruise gave more than 2,700 passengers who came to have fun, the added bonus of an onboard, hands-on opportunity to participate in the work of The James Fund. The cruise was blessed not only with the glorious tropical sun-drenched destination of Calica, Mexico but with the crowning addition of God’s provision of $100,000 in support funds for the on-going benefit of children in need in Mexico.

The James Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Family Christian Stores in 2003 to meet the needs of widows and orphans in the communities it serves.

On previous cruises, we have seen orphans adopted, many of the cruise-goers have chosen to start orphan care ministries through their churches, and many have subsequently volunteered for hands-on work in the missions field. Thousands have made donations to the James Fund to bring hope to the needy with housing, daily care, education, and skills training to improve their lives in Jesus’ name. It’s been a tremendously powerful, refreshing and inspirational partnership—both for cruise-goers and for those organizing the cruise itself.”

Cruise-goers will enjoy their time at sea aboard the Carnival Cruiseline’s luxurious sea liner, Destiny, which will sail from Miami to Grand Turk Island on the January 22-26th itinerary.

Artists confirmed so far include: Building 429, Mandisa, Rush of Fools, Nicole C. Mullin, Phil Joel, Salvador, Brandon Heath, Annie Moses Band, Monk & Neagle, Phil Wickham, and Denver & The Mile High Orchestra. On an 'exclusive' note, Premier has also secured for cruise-goers highly anticipated reunion concerts by 4-HIM and Christian music pioneer duo, DeGarmo & Key--the only staging planned anywhere for either artist presentation. Best-selling Christian author, Karen Kingsbury is also confirmed as a speaker with additional music artists and speakers to be announced.
